About this test

Why this panel, and why so many markers?

Hair loss in women can have several underlying contributors, including hormone imbalances, thyroid problems, low iron stores, and vitamin deficiencies. Rather than testing one marker at a time, this panel checks the most commonly relevant factors together in a single blood sample, giving your pharmacist a fuller picture to work from.

This test is usually most useful alongside a Trichology consultation, where your pharmacist can interpret your results in the context of your history and scalp examination, rather than in isolation.

Best taken as an early morning sample. Several markers in this panel, including testosterone and cortisol, vary through the day and are most reliably measured in the morning. Your pharmacist will advise on timing when you book.
