FAQs

Pharmacist consultation FAQs.

What can a private pharmacist consultation address?
A wide range of acute and chronic conditions including respiratory infections, skin conditions, musculoskeletal problems, mental health concerns, sexual health, chronic disease management, and more. If a condition is beyond the scope of our service, you will be referred appropriately.
Can I get a prescription from a pharmacist consultation?
Yes. Our prescribing pharmacists can issue private prescriptions where clinically appropriate. These carry the private prescription charge for the medication and can be dispensed at any registered pharmacy, including by us. Private prescriptions are separate from NHS prescriptions, which are only available from NHS GPs.
Will my GP be informed of my consultation?
With your consent, a summary can be shared with your GP to ensure continuity of care. You can also opt out of this. Your records are handled in accordance with UK GDPR.
Is a telehealth consultation clinically equivalent to an in-person appointment?
Yes, for conditions that do not require physical examination. Our clinicians apply the same clinical standards regardless of the medium. Where physical examination is necessary and cannot be performed remotely, we will arrange an in-person appointment.
