Approved Yellow Fever Vaccination Centre

We are an approved Yellow Fever Vaccination Centre registered with UKHSA’s National Travel Health Network and Centre (NaTHNaC). Only approved centres can administer the yellow fever vaccine and issue the International Certificate of Vaccination (yellow card) required for entry to many countries.

International certificate issued. All yellow fever vaccinations are documented and the International Certificate of Vaccination is issued at the point of vaccination. The certificate is valid immediately for travellers where 10 days have elapsed since vaccination.

Pharmacist Independent Prescribing

Our superintendent pharmacist holds a GPhC-registered Independent Prescriber (IP) annotation. This qualification, granted after completing an accredited postgraduate programme, enables the pharmacist to independently assess, diagnose, and prescribe medicines for conditions within their clinical competence — without requiring a GP to issue a prescription.

Patient Group Directions (PGDs). Clinical services including Pharmacy First, travel vaccinations, and contraception are delivered using PGDs — written instructions authorised by an appropriate authority that allow supply of a medicine without an individual prescription.

Distance-Selling Pharmacy

Veritas Pharmacy is registered as a distance-selling pharmacy with the GPhC. This registration enables us to supply NHS and private medicines to patients across England by post or delivery, and to provide NHS services such as prescription dispensing remotely. Our private clinical services are delivered from our physical premises in Sunderland.

NHS distance-selling requirement. NHS patients receiving dispensing services remotely are not permitted to access the pharmacy premises in person for those NHS services — in line with NHS distance-selling pharmacy regulations.
