Urinary health assessment.
Urinary symptoms — burning, frequency, cloudy urine, pain, or blood — can indicate a range of conditions from a urinary tract infection to kidney disease, diabetes, or liver conditions. Our GPhC-registered pharmacist will carry out a clinical assessment and advise on the most appropriate next steps.
Book online or call 0191 503 4053. Same-day appointments are usually available. Depending on your symptoms and history, your pharmacist may refer you for a laboratory urine culture, blood tests, or further clinical investigation.
Conditions we can help with.
Clinical assessment of UTI symptoms. Prescriptions issued where appropriate, or referral to Pharmacy First for eligible patients.
Glucose-related symptoms such as increased thirst or urination. Follow-up blood test arranged where indicated.
Symptoms suggesting kidney involvement, such as protein loss or reduced output. Blood tests and GP referral where appropriate.
Any report of visible or suspected blood in urine is assessed and appropriate urgent referral arranged if needed.
Frequency, urgency, or discomfort without a clear cause. Clinical assessment and onward referral pathway confirmed.
