What happens next

What to expect at your appointment

Confirmation & reminder

You will receive an instant email confirmation from Halaxy with your appointment details. An SMS reminder is sent 24 hours before your appointment time.

At the clinic

Arrive 5 minutes before your slot. Our team will greet you at reception. All consultations take place in a private room. Bring any medications, your NHS number if you have it, and any relevant test results.

After your appointment

Blood test results arrive in your Halaxy patient account within 24–48 hours. For Pharmacy First, a summary is sent to your GP. Private consultation notes are available on request from your clinician.

Blood tests: Fast for 8–12 hours beforehand (water allowed). Wear a short-sleeved or loose top. Results sent to your Halaxy account within 24–48 hours.
Vitamin injections: Eat a light meal 1–2 hours before your appointment. Wear clothing that allows easy access to the upper arm or upper buttock. Sessions 15–45 minutes.
Travel health: Book at least 6–8 weeks before travel for vaccination scheduling. Bring your travel dates, destinations, and any previous vaccination records.
Telehealth: You will receive a video link via email. Use a private space with a stable internet connection. Have your medication list and any relevant documents to hand.

Common questions about booking.

How quickly can I get an appointment?
Same-day appointments are available for most services, including Pharmacy First, private clinic consultations, blood testing, and vitamin injections, subject to availability. Book early in the day to maximise same-day options. For travel health, book 6–8 weeks before travel.
Do I need to create a Halaxy account to book?

No. You can book as a guest. However, creating a free Halaxy patient account lets you view your appointment history, receive blood test results directly in your account, and manage or reschedule future bookings without calling us.

How do I cancel or reschedule?

Log in to your Halaxy patient account to manage your booking, or call us during opening hours. Please give at least 24 hours’ notice to avoid a late-cancellation charge for private services. NHS services (Pharmacy First) carry no cancellation charge. Full details are in our Terms of Use

Is payment taken at the time of booking?

It depends on the service and how Halaxy is configured. For some private services, a deposit or full payment may be taken at the point of booking via Halaxy Payments. NHS services are free. The Halaxy booking flow will clearly indicate whether payment is required before you confirm.

Is my booking information private?

Yes. Halaxy is ISO 27001 certified and GDPR-compliant. All data you enter during booking is processed under our Data Processing Agreement with Halaxy and in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Your information is never sold and is only used for the purpose of managing your clinical care.
