Dairy IgE Allergy Panel.
Screens for IgE antibodies linked to allergic reactions to cow’s milk and alternative dairy sources, including goat’s and sheep’s milk, plus common cheeses. A focused panel if dairy is your main suspected trigger.
A dairy allergy, not an intolerance.
This test checks for IgE antibodies, the type involved in true allergic reactions, against cow’s milk and alternative sources including goat’s and sheep’s milk, as well as cheese and cheese mould. It also separately checks casein, a specific milk protein that some people react to even when they tolerate other dairy proteins.
It is worth understanding that this test looks for a true dairy allergy, an immune reaction, rather than lactose intolerance, which is a different, non-immune condition and is not detected by this panel.
