The 3-dose course is essential for remote travel, adventure activities, animal contact risk, and travel to parts of Asia, Africa, and Latin America where post-exposure treatment may not be accessible.

Rabies risk: who should vaccinate?
The 3-dose pre-exposure course.
Dose 1 — Day 0
First dose at your initial appointment. The course begins and clinical suitability is confirmed.
Dose 2 — Day 7
Second dose one week later. Immunity begins to build following the second injection.
Dose 3 — Day 21 or 28
Final dose completes the pre-exposure course. A booster is typically required after 3 to 5 years depending on ongoing exposure risk.

First class treatment from Dr Gbemba-Martins at the Chester Road practice after having a blocked ear due to hard wax. Very thorough examination and subsequent treatment has totally cleared the problem.
