Advanced Cryotherapy Clinic.
Fast treatment for common benign skin lesions. Delivered by a trained clinician under the supervision of our GPhC registered Superintendent Pharmacist, following completion of an advanced cryotherapy course. A clinical skin lesion service, not a beauty treatment.
What cryotherapy is and how it works.
Cryotherapy is a clinical treatment that uses a controlled jet of extreme cold to freeze and destroy the cells of a benign skin lesion. The freezing forms tiny ice crystals inside the treated cells, which causes them to break down. Over the following days and weeks, the treated skin dries out, may scab, and naturally sheds as new healthy skin forms underneath.
Our clinician has completed advanced cryotherapy training and treats every case only after a proper clinical assessment. This is a treatment for benign, previously identified skin lesions. It is not a beauty or cosmetic clinic service, and it is not a substitute for a medical diagnosis.
What we can provide.
Small, harmless growths of skin that often catch on clothing or jewellery.
Rough, raised growths on the skin or sole of the foot. Verrucae often need more than one session.
Small, firm, white bumps, most often seen around the eyes and cheeks.
Small red or purple spots on the skin, caused by a harmless cluster of blood vessels.
Flat, harmless areas of darker skin that can appear with age or sun exposure.

What your cryotherapy appointment involves.
Book your assessment
Book online in a few minutes. Tell us roughly how many lesions you would like looked at when you book.
Clinical assessment
Your fifteen minute assessment checks that each lesion is suitable for cryotherapy. Anything that needs a general practitioner opinion first will be flagged, and no treatment will be given on that lesion.
Treatment, if suitable
Where a lesion is suitable, treatment is usually given at the same appointment. Each lesion is frozen for a few seconds using a controlled jet of extreme cold.
Aftercare and follow up
You will be given simple aftercare advice to take home. Some lesions, particularly verrucae, need a repeat session a few weeks later, which our clinician will discuss with you.
Book your cryotherapy assessment.
A short clinical assessment comes first for every new lesion. Same week appointments are usually available.
