About this test

A thorough, wide-ranging health check.

This is our most detailed blood test for women, bringing together hormone health, general organ function, and nutritional status in one appointment, rather than needing several separate tests. It is designed for anyone wanting a genuinely comprehensive baseline, not just a single symptom investigated in isolation.

The panel includes CA125, a blood marker sometimes used alongside other investigations in relation to ovarian health. It is important to understand that CA125 alone cannot diagnose or rule out ovarian cancer, it can be raised for many other reasons, and a normal result does not guarantee the absence of a problem. Your pharmacist will explain your result in context and advise on appropriate next steps.

This is a screening test, not a diagnosis. A result outside the expected range is a starting point for further discussion with your pharmacist or GP, not a diagnosis on its own.
Your result includes a clinician commentary. A clinician reviews your result and provides written context before it is sent to you.

FAQs

Women’s Advanced Health & Hormone Blood Test FAQs.

What is CA125, and should I be worried about it?
CA125 is a blood marker sometimes used alongside other investigations in relation to ovarian health. It is not a diagnostic test on its own, levels can be raised for many reasons unrelated to cancer, including common and harmless conditions, and a normal result does not completely rule out a problem. Your pharmacist will explain what your result means and advise on next steps if needed.
Do I need to fast before this test?
Some markers, such as cholesterol and glucose-related results, are best measured fasting. Your pharmacist will confirm whether fasting is needed when you book.
Does the timing in my cycle matter?
It can, particularly for the hormone markers such as LH, FSH, oestradiol and progesterone. Your pharmacist can advise on the best timing based on your cycle when you book.
How is this different from your other hormone panels?
This test is far broader than our individual hormone panels, such as the Menopause Panel or Fertility Hormones Profile, since it also covers full blood count, liver, kidney, cholesterol, and vitamin markers alongside hormones. If you only want a specific hormone check, our targeted hormone panels may be more cost-effective.
