About this test

A thorough, wide-ranging health check.

This is our most detailed blood test for men, bringing together hormone health, general organ function, and nutritional status in one appointment, rather than needing several separate tests. It is designed for anyone wanting a genuinely comprehensive baseline, not just a single symptom investigated in isolation.

The panel includes prostate specific antigen (PSA), a blood marker sometimes used alongside other investigations in relation to prostate health. It is important to understand that PSA alone cannot diagnose or rule out prostate cancer, it can be raised for other reasons including infection and age, and a normal result does not guarantee the absence of a problem. Your pharmacist will explain your result in context and advise on appropriate next steps.

This is a screening test, not a diagnosis. A result outside the expected range is a starting point for further discussion with your pharmacist or GP, not a diagnosis on its own.
Your result includes a clinician commentary. A clinician reviews your result and provides written context before it is sent to you.

FAQs

Men’s Advanced Health & Hormone Blood Test FAQs.

What is PSA, and should I be worried about it?
PSA (prostate specific antigen) is a blood marker sometimes used alongside other investigations in relation to prostate health. It is not a diagnostic test on its own, levels can be raised for reasons unrelated to cancer, including infection and age, and a normal result does not completely rule out a problem. Your pharmacist will explain what your result means and advise on next steps if needed.
Do I need to fast before this test?
Some markers, such as cholesterol and glucose-related results, are best measured fasting. Your pharmacist will confirm whether fasting is needed when you book.
Why does this need to be an early morning test?
Testosterone follows a daily pattern and is generally highest in the morning, so testing at this time gives the most accurate and comparable result.
How is this different from your other testosterone tests?
This test is far broader than our dedicated testosterone testing range, since it also covers full blood count, liver, kidney, cholesterol, prostate, and vitamin markers alongside testosterone. If you only want a testosterone-focused check, our dedicated testosterone tests may be more cost-effective.
