Private hormone panels with clinician-reviewed results in 24–48 hours. Blood sample collected at our Chester Road pharmacy. No GP referral needed.

About hormone testing

Why test your hormones?

Hormones regulate almost every function in the body — metabolism, mood, energy, sleep, fertility, and more. Imbalances are common and often go undiagnosed because symptoms overlap with other conditions. A targeted blood panel gives a clear clinical picture without requiring a GP referral.

Our hormone panels are processed at an accredited laboratory. Results are sent directly to you via secure email from the laboratory, after clinician verification — typically within 24–48 hours of your blood draw.

Who is this for? Patients experiencing fatigue, weight changes, irregular periods, low libido, mood changes, hair loss, or suspected menopause. Also appropriate for monitoring ongoing hormone treatment.

FAQs

Hormone testing FAQs.

Do I need to fast before a hormone blood test?
Most hormone panels do not require fasting. However, testosterone and cortisol tests are best done on an early morning sample for accuracy. Please call us before booking if your panel requires an early morning appointment.
Can I get hormone testing if I am already on HRT or other hormone treatment?
Yes. Hormone testing during treatment is important for monitoring and dosage adjustment. Inform our pharmacist about your current medications when you book so results can be interpreted in context.
What happens if my results are abnormal?
Your results include a clinician-reviewed commentary. If a result is outside the normal range and requires action, your pharmacist will advise on next steps — which may include a consultation with our prescribing pharmacist or a referral to your NHS GP.
How is the blood sample collected?
A small blood sample is taken from a vein in your arm by our trained phlebotomist. The process takes a few minutes and most patients find it straightforward.
